Louella (Shelby) Pace, age 88, of Reedsburg passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011, at Our House Assisted Living House on Mack Drive in Reedsburg.  She was born on March 14, 1923, in Puxico, MO, the daughter of Granville Pleasant and Etta (Edwards) Shelby.  She married to Eugene Pace on July 19, 1941 the love of her life and he remained the passionate love of her life during the 69 years they spent together until his passing on April 18, 2011.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lena Burris, Goldamay Parker; brothers, Bud, Clarence, Albert and Monroe Shelby.

She is survived by her children: David (Janey) Pace of Reedsburg,

Janice (Kevin) Baker of Portage;

Granchildren: Blake (Teresa) Pace of Reedburg,

Shelly (Michael) Kiefer of Summerville, SC,

Brandon Pace of Reedsburg,

Jessica Johnson of Memphis, TN,

Kenny Johnson of Portage,

Rachael Baker of Green Bay,

Ryan Baker of Portage,

Renee (Nick) Sainsbury of Portage;

Great Grandchildren: Tyler and Autumn Pace; Shannon, Alyssa and Mikala Kiefer

Zenaida and Alona Alonso, and Samantha Johnson.

A celebration of Louella’s life will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the Greenwood Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Victor Hillestead officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:30 until the time of the service at the Greenwood Chapel.  Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Food Pantry of Reedsburg.
