William Hooker, age 86, of rural Rock Springs, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012, at his home. He was born on March 12, 1925, in Vernon County, Wisconsin, the son of Frank and Ludmilla (Snorek) Hooker.   On August 23, 1958, William was united in marriage to Daunenne E. Ramsey. This marriage was blessed with two sons.  Bill was a life-long farmer who had an appreciation for the land and of the animals he cared for.

Bill was preceded in death by his son, Harold; Parents; brothers, Ernest, Francis, Jospeph, and Rudolph Hooker.

He is survived by his wife, Daunnene of Rock Springs;

Son, Jerry Hooker of Rock Springs;

Daughter-in-law, Karen Hooker of Loganville;

Grandchildren:  Kandie (John) Pagel of Denzer, Jason Hooker (Felicia Fisher) of Reedsburg, Jamie Hooker of Loganville, Vicki Hooker (fiance’, Jake Maerz) of Baraboo;

Great grandchildren:  Kristine Hooker, Travis Pagel, Madalynn Hooker, Savannah Hooker and Jay Pagel;

Brother, Adolph (Eva) Hooker of Baraboo;

Sister-in-law, Irene Hooker of North Freedom;

Several  nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

A celebration of William’s life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012, at 1:00 PM in the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with Pastor Christopher Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Loganville.  A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Farber Funeral  Home and on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
