Eugene ‘E.P.’ Phillip Mihlbauer, age 73 of LaValle died on Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.  He was born on August 16, 1938 in LaValle, WI the son of Tuffy and Gerty Mihlbauer. He graduated from Wonewoc High School in 1956.  He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962.  He married to Karen Kannenburg and they enjoyed over 28 years together.  Eugene was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, trapping and watching the cows.  He raised some fine Labrador Retrievers that any duck hunter would be pleased to own.  He was an excellent gardener and canned his tomatoes and vegetables for use.  The family is thankful to the ER staff at RAMC; the 7^th floor and ICU staff at St. Mary’s and Dr. Dominski for their support, care and respect.

Step nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

We honor his life with a visitation on Monday, January 9^th in the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg from 5-8 P.M. There will be no formal service.
