Vida B. Ward, age 90 of Reedsburg died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Our House Assisted Living
Center, Reedsburg.  She was born on July 24, 1921 in Summit Township, Juneau Co. Wisconsin the daughter of Karl and Augusta (Bentz) Backeburg.  She was married to Edwin A. Ward on July 1, 1960 in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Reedsburg.  Vida was a humble and faithful servant of her Lord.  She had a special love and concern for her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edwin on Feb. 21, 1991, a son, Lyle; step-children, Edwin & Etta Ward, Audrey Wells, Jeanette Ward, brothers and sisters, Ivan and Everett Backeburg, Marvelene Held and Laverne Hamilton.

She is survived by her children: Lloyd (Jean) Krueger of Cazenovia

Kim (Shirley) Ward of Reedsburg

Everett Meyer of Reedsburg

We honor her life with a funeral service on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Reedsburg with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, North Freedom.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home and again on Thursday at the
church from 10 A.M. until the time of service.  Memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
