Ardell Neises Obituary

Ardell M. Neises, age 85, of Rock Springs, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born on October 10, 1932, in Ableman, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bert and Lucille (Dwars) Harmon. On July 29, 1967, Ardell was united in marriage to Duane L. Neises at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Rock Springs. This marriage was blessed with three children. Duane preceded her in death on November 5, 2015.

Ardell was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Rock Springs where she was active in the Ladie’s Aid. She was a former Village of Rock Springs Clerk and was Chief Inspector on the Election Board. Ardell enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and maintaining her home. She really enjoyed country music, especially ‘their song’, by Maggie Mae “Just Beyond the Moon.” Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Marlene.

Ardell is survived by her daughter, Kristi (Matthew) Newcomb of Reedsburg; sons, Kory (Maureen) Neises of Lake Elmo, MN, and Kerry (Sally) Neises of Dalton, GA;

Grandchildren: Savannah, Chance, Autumn, Isaac, Cole, Grant, Blake, Emily, Abigail, and Tyler;

Sisters, Sharon (Shorty) Berg of Stoughton, and Linda Shaw of Little Chute;

Brother and sisters-in-law, Dale (Mary) Neises of TX, Randy (Sue) Neises of Kenosha, Terry (Kim) Neises of Cherry Valley, IL, and Jay Neises of Reedsburg;

Several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ardell M. Neises will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Rock Springs, with Pastor David Karow officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will go toward a bench in Ardell’s memory in the Village of Rock Springs.
