Barbara Johnson Obituary

Barbara J. Johnson, age 76, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2018, surrounded by her family.  She was born on June 29, 1942, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Robert and Clara (Becker) Mau.  On September 4, 1965, Barbara was united in marriage to George L. Johnson. She was a faithful member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg.

Barbara is survived by her husband, George;

Daughter, Nicole “Nikki” (Andy) Smith; grandsons, Logan and Montana “Tanner” ; sister, Carole Plenge; brothers, John (Maria) Mau, and Jim (Lisa) Mau; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She found joy in life with family and friends and left a lasting impression on all she met.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Plenge.

Funeral services for Barbara J. Johnson will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg.  Burial will take place at a later date in the Hamilton Cemetery, West Salem.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home and on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Reedsburg Area Medical Center or St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
