Berniece M. “Meicy” Renfrow, age 73, of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the University Hospital in Madison. She was born on May 8, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Melville and Berneice (Jackson) Hoppenrath. She was married to Andrew J. Beatty. He preceded her in death. On July 27, 1991 she was united in marriage to “Frank” Porter Franklin Renfrow. Berniece had been a school bus driver. She was a proud supporter of St. Jude’s and the DAV. She enjoyed road trips and coffee. Berniece loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former spouse, Andrew J. Beatty; husband Porter F. “Frank” Renfrow; brother, Rick Hoppenrath and sister, Melba Padalino.
Berniece is survived by her children: Andy Beatty (Amy Bainbridge) of Reedsburg, Jennifer A. (John) Lamb of Wisconsin Rapids, Amanda Renfrow-Boyd of Reedsburg;
Grandchildren: Brandee, Ethan, Samantha, Larissa, John-Raymond, Brantlee, Michelle, Stephanie, Andrew, Janet, Franklin, Jessica (Jeremy), Jacqueline (Steven), John Lamb Jr (friend, Jatara), Joseph (friend, Hiedi), Jennifer N., Ryan, Karson and Grant; Great-grandchildren: Caiden, Easton, Brantley, Nolen and Jackson;
Sisters: Shirley Vogler of Necedah, Jackie Maier of Mauston and Jennifer (Richard) Green of Weyerhauser; brothers Jimmy Hoppenrath and Tommy Hoppenrath of Minnesota; Several nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Berniece Renfrow will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Church of God in Reedsburg with Pastor Debbie Sammons officiating. Burial will be made in Pine Eden Cemetery in Wonewoc. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Jude’s or to the family.
