David W. Louis

David W. Louis, age 58, of Cazenovia, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019. He was born on June 26, 1960 in Richland Center, WI, the son of Valentine and Rose Mary (Durst) Louis. He grew up in Ithaca, WI and was a 1978 graduate of Weston High School. On October 29, 1988, he was united in marriage to Julie E. Montgomery. This marriage was blessed with two daughters. Dave worked numerous jobs including Cook Countryside Trucking and Holtz Farms. He enjoyed fishing, playing euchre, horseshoes, and joking with his friends. He followed the Packers, Badgers and Brewers games. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandson, Gideon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald Louis; and grandparents, Nick and Clara Louis and Ferd and Tillie Durst.

Dave is survived by his wife, Julie Louis of Cazenovia; children, Danielle (Blake) Volk and son Gideon, and Kelsey (Lucas) Dederich; sisters and brothers, Jean (Gary) Fry, Tom (Patty) Louis, Bob Louis, Marianne Louis; many nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for David Louis will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Deacon Tom Hale officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
