Donald A. Schafer, “Duckeye”, age 80, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born on October 12, 1938 in Sauk County, Wisconsin, the son of Henry A. and Norma W. This marriage was blessed with six children.  Duckeye was the co-owner and co-operator of Club 33 with his brother Gary. He made many friends over the years.  Whether he was cooking steaks, telling jokes, or serving drinks, he enjoyed making people smile. He enjoyed playing cards and pool with his friends, going to the casino with his wife, betting on the dog and horse races, cutting wood and spending time with family, harvesting maple syrup, and dancing.  He was a paratrooper in the U.S. army.  He was also a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia of Reedsburg; children: Rose (Rodney Rockweiler) Schafer, Joseph (Sharon) Schafer, Jean Schafer, James Schafer, Tammy Lewan and Jason Schafer, all of Reedsburg;

Grandchildren: Devin (Kyle) Peterson, Heather Drier, Olivia, Nicole and Makayla Schafer, Paul (Erika) Schafer, and Diane and Rory Lewan; great-grandchildren: Kynzie and Mason Peterson; two brothers, Gary (Peggy) Schafer, Virgil Schafer; a sister, Carol Richmond; numerous nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
