Dorothy L. Mlsna

Dorothy Louise Mlsna, age 84, of Reedsburg, formerly of LaValle, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the Sauk County Health Care Center.  She was born on August 16, 1933, in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of Adam and Maddelaine (Neeve) Massari.  On July 17, 1954, Dorothy was united in marriage to Gerald W. Mlsna at
Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle.  This marriage was blessed with six children. Gerald preceded her in death on July 28, 2014. Dorothy lived in LaValle for many years where she was a waitress at Granny’s Pantry. She was a teacher’s aide with the Reedsburg School District and was an Avon representative for over 40 years.  Dorothy enjoyed attending family reunions and the time she spent with her coffee clutch friends.  She was also an avid bowler.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Ronald; granddaughter, Carson; brothers, Eugene (Mary Lou), and James; and sister, Rosemary.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Jan Marie Bohl of Reedburg, Stephanie (Marv) Hahn of Wonewoc, David (Peggy) Mlsna of Aurora, IL, Tim (Emily) Mlsna of Reedsburg, Amy (special friend, Ken) Brown of Reedsburg;

9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Rita Keller of Arkansas, Susan (Ron) Smith of LaValle, Theresa (Daryl) Penshorn of LaValle, Patty (Dan) Kosak of Reedsburg; Brother-in-law, John Singletary; sister-in-law, Sheryl Massari.

She is further survived by other in-laws, nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy L. Mlsna will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Sanctus Ibe officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Jude in Dorothy’s name.  The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family.
