Edward A. Grinder, age 87, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019. He was born on September 1, 1931 in Cornell, WI, the son of Reuben and Nellie C. (White) Grinder. Edward served his country in the U.S. Army. On August 4, 1956 he was united in marriage to the former Leona A. Smith. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2006. Ed was a sheet metal worker, owning his own shop in Reedsburg. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Reedsburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers, Tom and Fred.
He is survived by his sons, Brian (Denise) Grinder and Brett (Dena) Grinder, both of Reedsburg; grandchildren: Jennifer, Scott, J.T. (Ashley) Mitchell, Jamie (JJ) Gates, Andre Herritz and Gary Herritz; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Lois Hinze. Other cherished family members include: Emily Herritz, Everett Jr. (Darlene) White, Dale (Rose) White, Carolyn Labansky, and Dave (Kris) White; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Edward Grinder will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Reedsburg with Reverend Vicki Brantmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
