Elizabeth "Bessie" Kraemer Obituary

Elizabeth “Bessie” Kraemer, age 85 of LaValle, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born on February 1, 1933 on Loreto Ridge, Sauk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Rose B. (Fitzgerald) Howard. Bessie was a graduate of Reedsburg High School. On January 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to Paul Kraemer at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Loreto. This marriage was blessed with seven children. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge. She had been employed by Carr Valley Cheese Factory for over 40 years. Bessie had a passion for life and love of family. She was well known for her competitive card playing and dancing with her brother Bob.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Kraemer on August 17, 2010; brothers, Patrick, Bob and Mike Howard; sister, June Montgomery; brothers-in-law, Charlie Montgomery, Alois Gruber, Pete Conlin, Jerome Harms and Joe Douglas; sister-in-law, Carol Howard; nephews, Jason Berberich and Tom Gruber; and niece, Julie Conlin.

Bessie is survived by her children: Paula (Bill) Borgrud of Brooklyn, WI, Janet (Noah) Fiddler of Hawaii, Cynthia Markofski of Portage, Mary (Timothy) Starr of Franklin, Paul (Robin) Kraemer of Franklin, Patty (Steve) Koenig of LaValle, and Kellee (Scott) Tourdot of Camp Douglas;

Grandchildren: Jamie (Nick) Kriesler, Mathew Ihm, Chloe Fiddler, Michelle Markofski, Benjamin (Timmy) Starr, Nicholas Starr, Eli (Anthony) Starr, Sam Kraemer, Holly Kraemer, Robert (Kellen) Koenig, William Koenig and Thomas Koenig;

Great-grandchildren: Mason Kriesler and Karston Kriesler, Finley Koenig and Isla Koenig;

Siblings: Rita Harms, Mary Douglas, Jessie Conlin, Cecelia Gruber and Patricia (Donald) Schafer;

Sister-in-law: Mary Jane Howard;

Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth “Bessie” Kraemer will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 28, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father David Carrano officiating. Burial will be made in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Lime Ridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with a scripture service conducted at 4:00 P.M. There will also be visitation on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
