Eola Faye Crawford, age 88, of Reedsburg, formerly of Rock Springs, passed away on Thursday July 5, 2018, at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. She was born on March 19, 1930, at home in rural Reedsburg, the daughter of Albert and Faye (O’Connor) Vogel. On June 25, 1954, Eola was united in marriage to Robert E. Crawford in the First Methodist Church, Reedsburg. This marriage was blessed with a son, Larry. Robert preceded her in death on March 05, 2017.
Eola was employed as a teacher for 38 years, and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the United Methodist Church for many years where she taught Sunday School. Eola was a great cook and baker. She had a love of reading and enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and word searches.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred (Lorraine) Vogel and Robert Vogel; and sister-in-law, Betty Vogel.
Eola is survived by her son, Larry (Lori) Crawford of Reedsburg;
Grandson, Zachary Crawford and his children, Lexee and Zoee of Rock Springs;
Granddaughter, Sarah (Jason) Zimmerman and their daughter, Casey of Portage;
Brothers, James Vogel of Barron, and Henry (Carol) Vogel of Chetek;
Sister-in-law, Shirley Vogel of Reedsburg; along with several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Eola Faye Crawford will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in North Freedom with Pastor Kristine Howard and Pastor Carol Quinn co-officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Freedom United Methodist Church.
