Evelyn E. Marshall, age 95, of Reedsburg, formerly of Cazenovia, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Sauk County Health Care Center in Reedsburg. She was born in Mauston, WI, on September 18, 1923, the daughter of the late Arthur Henry and Viva Blanche (Stout) Jackson. On April 25, 1943, Evelyn was united in marriage to Byron Marshall. This marriage was blessed with two children. Byron preceded her in death on July 1, 2011. Evelyn was a hard worker. She was employed at Hankscraft/Gerber for many years. She enjoyed gardening and horseback riding, but above all, she enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a very caring and loving person. Evelyn was a member of the Church of God in Reedsburg.
Along with her parents, and husband, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her sisters, Violet Williamson and Bernice Hoppenrath; granddaughter, Rhonda Marshall; and great-granddaughter, Laramie Fry; sisters-in-law, Judy Jackson, Inez Kraemer, Ethel, Margaret, and Arlene Marshall; brothers-in-law, John Puhl, Arnold Williamson, Bud Hoppenrath, Gaylord, Jim and Don Marshall.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Donna Marshall of Reedsburg and Ronald (Sharon) Marshall of LaValle; Grandchildren: Diane (Dean) Fry of Cazenovia, Kevin (Sandy) Marshall of Cazenovia, and Brian Marshall of Reedsburg; Great-grandchildren: Katie Marshall and special friend, Adam of Warrens, Nicole Marshall of Warrens, Travis Marshall of Reedsburg, Emily and Bryce Marshall of Mellen, Sarah (Jared) Chamberlin of LaValle; Great-great-grandchildren: Carson, Michael and Savannah; Sister, Regina Puhl of Reedsburg; Brother, Robert (Judy) Jackson of Hillsboro; Sister-in-law: Hope Marshall of Texas; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Evelyn Marshall will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the Church of God, Reedsburg, with Pastor Debra Sammons officiating. Burial will follow in Cazenovia Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
