Henry A. “Hank” Siese Jr., age 78, of Wisconsin Dells, WI, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Columbia County Care Center in Wyocena. He was born on November 16, 1939 to Henry Sr. and Mildred (Dystrup) Siese in Chicago, IL. He attended Wisconsin Dells High School. After serving his country in the U.S. Army, Hank worked briefly in Milwaukee, then moved to Wisconsin Dells where he worked for the City of Wisconsin Dells until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, particularly trips to Manitowoc for salmon. His interests also included reading Louis LaMour, collecting wooden lures, and visits with his children and grandchildren. As his health declined he enjoyed playing UNO with caregivers.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Richard Frawley.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Frawley), Wisconsin Dells; daughters, Sher (Troy) Behrends, Ham Lake, MN, Michelle (John) Siese-Drummond of Charlotte, SC, Nikki Severson of Huron, Ohio; sons, Shaun (Cheryl Larsen) of Tampa, FL, Bryan (Laura Koski) of Minneapolis, MN; step-daughter, Brenda (Michael) Schultz of Sunset, SC; a sister, Betty (James) Steingraeber of Wisconsin Dells; grandchildren, Shay (fiancé Deric Riopel) Behrends of Minnesota, Devin (Rachel) Behrends of Texas, Dakota Severson of Ohio, and Hope Siese of SC, Thomas (TJ) of SC; along with many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Henry “Hank” Siese Jr. will be held at 12:30 P.M., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Vicki Brantmeyer officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Full military honors will follow the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a tree planted in a national forest in his name or to the William S. Middleton Veteran’s Hospital.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the VA Hospital, Agrace, Team Indigo, the staff at the Columbia Care Center, and Linda Sheppard and Julie Schultz for their care while he was at home.
