James Davis Obituary
James Kenneth Davis, age 75, of Rio, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home on Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born on January 29, 1943, in Sheilds Township, Marquette Co, Wisconsin, the son of Gladyn "Buck" Davis and Ruby (Rhinehart) Davis. Jim was a jack of all trades having worked in the farming and construction industries throughout his life; however, he most enjoyed being a truck driver, owning and operating a small fleet of semi-trucks over the years. He will be remembered most for his sense of humor and carefree way of life.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara J. Davis; children: James (Barbara) Davis of Necedah, Jodi (Matt) Roberts of Rio, and Kenneth Davis of Portage; Grandchildren: Leah Laack, Katti Laack, Mikala (Tom) Denman, Bella Roberts, Joe Pachowicz, Lisa Crist, Rebecca Pachowicz and Troy Roberts; Great-Grandchildren: Thomas and Jeremy Denman; Sisters: Marlene Fish and Lorriane (Arnie "Buzz") Rose; and sister-in-law Donna Davis. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby Irene; brother, Joe Davis; son, John Davis; and grandson, Jason Laack.
Funeral services for James K. Davis will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg with Pastor Louie Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
