Jane Brill Obituary

Jane Elizabeth Brill, age 96, formerly of Reedsburg passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Dominic Retirement Village in Houston Texas.  She was born July 8th, 1922 in Baraboo, WI, the daughter of the late Philip and Ella (Murphy) Hannon.  Jane was united in marriage to Everett “Red” Brill on September 29, 1956.  They were inseparable during their marriage. The marriage was blessed with two children.

Jane was a 1940 graduate of Reedsburg High School.  She graduated from Sauk County Teachers College in 1942 and attended Madison Business College from 1944-1945.  Jane was most proud of her military service in Women’s Army Corps (WAC) in World War II.  Jane was an active and faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish.  She was a teacher and Avon representative for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett “Red” Brill March 5, 2009; and sisters Phyllis Hannon and Joyce Jurick.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Barbara and husband Bob and 2 grandsons Isaac and Brandon of Edna, Oklahoma;  son Bob and wife Susan of Houston, TX and 5 grandsons, Anthony of Fort Worth, TX: Bradley and wife Stacy and great granddaughters Anna Grace and Sophie Rose of Overton MI: Matthew and wife Amanda of Houston: David and wife Margaret of Houston:  Michael attending college in Michigan: brother Rodney Hannon of Reedsburg and sister Rosemary of Janesville; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass for Christian burial will be Celebrated for Jane on Friday, October 5,, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg.  Reverend David Carrano, Pastor, will be the Celebrant.   Visitation also be on Friday, at the church from 10:30 am until the time of Mass. Together with her husband, Everett “Red” Brill Jane will be buried with military rites at Calvary Cemetery.
