Jeffrey P. (Bear) Lamers, age 62, died on September 12, 2019 at his home in Reedsburg. Bear was born on August 27, 1957 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, son of Robert and Margaret (Jansen) Lamers. He spent a lot of his working life as an over the road truck driver. He and his wife Nancy were also the owner of Bear & Goat Buckhorn Bar and Restaurant. He was also the inventor of Bear’s BBQ Sauce, a product he loved to produce and gift to friends and relatives.
Bear enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, and spending time with friends and family. He was especially fond of his best four - legged friends which were many.
Bear was preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy (nee Deitrich/ Crocker/Noenig); sisters Joyce (Stanley) Cook, and Margo. He is survived by brothers Jim of Florida; Marty (Jean) of Stoughton; and sister Chris of Wonewoc; other relatives and friends, including his last four-legged companion, Gabby.
A celebration of Bear’s life will be held on Sunday November 17, 2019, from 1 – 4 pm at the home of John and Ann Deitrich, 800 Mary Avenue, Reedsburg.
