John M. Clemitus

John M. Clemitus, age 68, of Reedsburg, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010. He was born on February 18, 1942, in Crystal Falls, MI, the son of Joseph and Constance Clemitus. On October 19, 1963, John was united in marriage to Dorothy Lynn McNay in Crystal Falls, MI. This marriage of 46 years was blessed with four children. John proudly served his country in the US Army from 1960 - 1963. He was employed as an industrial engineer at Grede Foundry in Reedsburg for 32 years. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, riding his Harley and especially golfing. He and Dorothy spent their winters in Arizona for many years where he fine-tuned his golf game. John was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the HOG Chapter. John coached little league and was a leader for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts when his children were young. He cherished most, the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert "Bob" David Clemitus; and brother, Charles "Chuck" Clemitus. John is survived by his wife, Dorothy Clemitus of Reedsburg; Children, and their families, Kathleen (Michael) Busser, and Jacob and Hannah, of Lodi, Michael J. Clemitus and Nicholas and Christopher of Madison, James (Jenifer) Clemitus and Jack and Jamie of Beaver Dam; Best friend, John Hendrickson of Crystal Falls, MI; Sister in law, Sharon Clemitus of Bettendorf, IA; Brother in law, David McNay of Wyandotte, MI; Nieces, Susan and Beth Clemitus and great niece, Alison of Monona; Nephew, David McNay of Milwaukee along with many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services for John M. Clemitus will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 15, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father Thomas Monaghan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Reedsburg, with Military honors. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 14, at the Farber Funeral Home where a parish scripture service will be conducted at 4:00 PM. Friends may also call on Friday from 9:45-10:45 AM at the funeral home. Memorials of remembrance preferred in lieu of flowers. The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
