John R Gould

John Ralph Gould, age 86, of Rock Springs, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 29, 2018.  He was born on July 23, 1931, in West Virginia, the son of Clarence and Lucile (Couteure) Gould.  John was united in marriage to Roberta Joyce Nargis in Ludington, MI.  She preceded him in death.  John was later married to Lois L. Duckworth Callan in 1996.  John was an avid golfer, a trap shooter, and an outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife, Lois;

Children, Paula Patrice (LeRoy) Schmitz, Ellen Francine Burnette; Laura (Brian) Bates, and John Edward Gould;

Grandchildren, Benjamin Bates, Andrew Bates, Erica Pfafflin, Jessica Spitzer and Colton Gould;

Great granddaughter, Lydia Spitzer; sister-in-law, Dorie Quist; along with other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Francine; and son-in-law, Rick Burnette.

A graveside memorial service for John Ralph Gould will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery, Mapleton, WI, rural Oconomowoc.  Full military honors will be accorded.  Visitation will be held at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church from 10:00 until the time of the graveside service.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in John’s name.
