Laurelynn L. Brey

Laurelynn “Laurie” Brey, age 65, of Reedsburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. She was born on June 8, 1954 in Blackhawk, WI, the daughter of Warren and LaVonne (Enge) Giese.  She grew up in Blackhawk and was a 1972 graduate of Sauk City High School.

Laurie was the Director of Medical Imaging at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center, retiring in June 2019. She was a hockey mom for the kids and very supportive of them. She loved her four grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and was a big Packer and Badger fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Laurie is survived by her sons: Eric Brey and daughters McKenzie and Kailyn of Madison, and Lucas (Christine) Brey and their children, Hixton and Grayson of Minnetrista, MN; two brothers, Ron (Jean) Giese, and Craig (Pat) Giese; stepmother, Elaine Giese; aunt Phillis (Bill) Schwartz; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Vicki Brantmeyer officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance are preferred.
