Lois Treptow-Walsh

Lois J. Treptow-Walsh, age 61 of Taylorville, IL died on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at St. John Hospital Hospice Care in Springfield, IL. She was born on December 23, 1948 in Reedsburg, WI the daughter of Keith and Verna (Johnson) Stout. She was married to William Walsh on October 25, 1997. She was a good wife, mother, aunt whose favorite time was spent with family and friends. She enjoyed the solitude of nature and taking care of people both at work and at home. She was a Registered Nurse who for many years enjoyed being a compassionate caregiver. Her parents preceded her in death. She was survived by her husband, William Walsh of Taylorville, IL Children: Jennifer (Tim) Spencer of Tomah Stephanie (Michael) Hady of Mt. Auburn, IL Rachel Montana of Black River Angela (Dale) Voiss of Madison Grandchildren: Xavier, Aaron, Ryan, Chandler, Mikayla, Lauren, Grayson, Mimi. Sister: Linda (Michael) Siebert, Iowa Nieces & Nephews: Joan (Dr. Roger) Wickland - Portland, OR Bruce (Shelly) Backeberg - Madison Mark (Brenda) Backeberg - Reedsburg Kristine Backeberg - Reedsburg Tom (Kathie) Gayther - Iowa Great Niece: Alicia Johnston - Reedsburg Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home. Memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
