Lynette Hillman Obituary

Lynette L. Hillman, age 86, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully at home in Reedsburg, on Sunday October 21, 2018.  She was born in Baraboo on September 17, 1932, to Emory and Belle Olson.

Lynette was married to Wayne Hillman on June 27, 1953.

Lynette is survived by her children:  Mary (Mark) Hillman-Lehman of Oak Creek, Craig (Charlotte) Hillman of La Valle, Karen (Mike) Abraham of Fremont, Foreign Exchange son, Kumar Rasiah of Malaysia;

Grandchildren: Sarah Hillman of Sun Prairie, Laura Hillman of Jacksonville, Florida, Krista (Andrew) Gunther of Reedsburg;

Sister, Barbara (Frank) Burdick of Menomonie; sisters-in-law, Joyce Foss of Woodbury, MN, Joann (Steve) Fetzer of Crystal River, Florida, Elizabeth (Edward) Carl of Janesville; bother-in-law, Robert (Diane) Hillman of Mesa, AZ; along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Lynette was preceded in death by Wayne, her husband of 54 years, in 2012. They wintered at “Venture Out” retirement community in Mesa, AZ for 22 years.

Lynette was a faithful member of St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, and was very active in the Church Quilting group, LWML, and Orphan Grain Train.  She enjoyed traveling the world with Wayne, meeting new people, and thanking the Lord for her many blessings.  She shared God’s love in so many ways including volunteering in schools and making quilts for others throughout the world.

Funeral services for Lynette L Hillman will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday October 25, at St Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Farber Funeral home and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to St Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Orphan Grain Train, or Camp LuWiSoMo.
