Marilyn Meyer Obituary

Marilyn Joan Meyer, age 72, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018.  She was born on February 8, 1946, in Baraboo, WI, the daughter of Allen and Charlotte (Osborne) Rose.  In 1967, Joan was united in marriage to William Meyer.  This marriage was blessed with two children.  Joan was formerly employed at Gerber in Reedsburg, and was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church. 

She loved animals, especially cats and dogs.  Joan’s greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren.   She is remembered by her family for her great cooking and baking and her love for cleaning. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Rose; and daughter, Tamara Gauf.

Joan is survived by her mother, Charlotte Rose of Reedsburg; son, Jeff (Dana) Meyer of Solon Springs, WI; son-in-law, Mark Gauf; Grandchildren: Jordan Gauf and Jessica Gauf both of Tomah, Gabby Gauf of Reedsburg; Amber Meyer and fiancé, Ethan Noe, of Port Edwards, and Jake Meyer of Reedsburg; brother, Duane “Butch” Rose of AK; sisters, Diane Deakin of FL, and Barb (Dave) Miller of Reedsburg; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Joan Meyer will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, with Pastor Elizabeth Voigt officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, and on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
