Marilyn Snorek, age 75, of Reedsburg, WI passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018. She was born on July 15, 1943 in Richland Center, the daughter of Thomas and Erma (Hynek) Snorek. Marilyn was a 1961 graduate of Richland Center High School. She attended MATC and graduated in 1962 as a LPN. She worked at the Richland Center Hospital from 1962 to 1966. Marilyn was then employed at the Reedsburg Area Hospital from 1966 until retiring August 1, 2008. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, polka dances, and followed many polka festivals all around the area.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Tom Snorek when she was seven years old; her mother, Erma (Snorek) Vesely and step-father, Charles Vesely.
Marilyn is survived by aunts, Anna Sorenson and Mary Koca, both of New Lisbon; friends Carol and Rich Duren, Butch Winchell, and many cousins and a host of friends.
A time of celebration of Marilyn’s life will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating. Burial will be made in Czech National Cemetery in Yuba. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to the Jan Ulrich nursing scholarship program through the Reedsburg Area Medical Center.
