Peter J. Goodrich

Peter J. Goodrich, 65, of Randolph, formerly of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 6, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg.

Peter was born August 10, 1953 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Niesje (Coughlin) Goodrich.  He graduated from Taft High School in 1972.  On June 12th in 1976, he married Margaret “Peggy” Kane at Queen of All Saints.  She preceded him in death in 2008.

Peter was employed as an Executive Chef for many years at the Reedsburg Country Club.  He enjoyed cooking for his friends/families and members of the Club. After retiring he earned his Master Gardener Degree from MATC. He loved working in his garden and making beautiful bouquets from his hard work.

He is survived by his children Sarah (Josh) Seaman of Randolph, Peter Goodrich of Reedsburg, Charlie (Amanda) Goodrich of Lyndon Station. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Trevor, Darius, Logan, Payton, Carlie, Morgan, Mia, Tia, Joshua, Aiden, and Jordan. Peter was 3rd of 9 children. Jenny Post, Betsy Johnson, Kenny (Gina) Goodrich, Daniel (Jackie) Goodrich, Gretchen (Brad) Harvey, Katie (Mike) Gomoluch, and Aimee (Roy) Dickey will miss their brother greatly. Peter “Uncle Bigger Peter” was also an amazing uncle/godfather/friend to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Peggy, he was preceded in death by his brother John, his nephew Joe, his brother-in-law Ed, and his father-in-law John “Murph” Murphy.

A Memorial Mass will be held to celebrate Peter’s life on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 11:00am, at Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle.  Reverend Sanctus Ibe, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. A time of visitation will also be on Saturday, at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
