Raymond Matlosz Obituary

Raymond J. Matlosz, age 71, of Wyocena, WI, formerly of Reedsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Wm. S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 20, 1947 in Hillside, New Jersey, the son of Roman and Anne (Krawcheck) Matlosz. Raymond had a Master’s Degree in Social Work and was employed by the Veteran’s Administration. He served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Coast Guard from January 17, 1966 until his discharge on April 16, 1970. Raymond attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg. He was also a member of the Toastmasters, helped with the Seth Peterson Cottage, was a licensed amateur radio operator, and enjoyed trains and ships.

He is survived by his daughter: Amanda Gray of Berlin Germany; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Raymond Matlosz will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Funeral services will then take place at the Growney Funeral Home, 1070 N. Broad St., Hillside, New Jersey and burial will be made in the Rosedale Cemetery with military rites, Linden, New Jersey.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, WI is assisting the family with the local arrangements and the Growney Funeral Home in Hillside, NJ is assisting with the services in New Jersey.
