Tulip (Gladys) G.M. Pendleton, 67, of Lake Delton, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018.
Tulip was born January 10, 1951, to the late Melvin Henry and Helen Ruth (Samuelson) Hill- Hinkel. On August 27, 1973 she was united in marriage to Robert Pendleton at the home of their good friends Tom and Faye McManamy.
She was a member of Dells Delton United Methodist Church.
Tulip while working at Sauk County Health Care Center returned to school and graduated from MATC Madison. She continued at Sauk County Health Care in her new role as a Nurse. She furthered her career by expanding into industrial nursing at Grede Foundries. Her outstanding human qualities led her to become the HR Director over the largest complex in the Dells.
In 2010, she retired with her husband to Mexico Beach, Florida. Her photographical talents won her awards and praise. Her farm roots were always present in her landscaping and gardening. She spent her time between Wisconsin and Florida until 2017 when she returned to Wisconsin to be with family and friends.
Thanks to Dean and SSM nurses, doctors and staff provided excellent health care to Tulip. A special thank you goes to the IC Unit for their compassionate care for Tulip in her final moments.
Survived by her loving husband Robert, and her two sons: Scott (Tammy) Beckett of Richland Center and Christopher (Julie) Pendleton of Mauston;
Grandchildren; Danielle, Samantha, Sarinity, Nicholas, Ashley, Dustin, Micha, Julace, Reid, Damion, and Ryan;
Six great-grandchildren;
Siblings, Dana (Shelley) Hill, Reedsburg, Tim (Melody Hinkel Smith) Hinkel, Reedsburg, Renee (Teddy) Baugus, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Vicki (Matt) Spang; close friends Linda and Mike Siebert, Sherry Pelletier, and Tom and Faye McManamy.
She is further survived by many other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Tulip will take place Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of service.
