Virginia C. Brandt

Virginia C. Brandt of Hillpoint, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Sauk County Health Care Center in Reedsburg. She was born on October 23, 1931 to the late Cecil and Lucy (Clark) Fry. On June 24, 1949 she married the love of her life Raymond Brandt and united as one for 68 years.

Virginia was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hillpoint, where she was an active member of the choir and Ladies Aid. She was a very do it yourself craftsman, from sewing, crafts, baking, design and home décor.

She is survived by her children;

Cathryn (James) Keller of Cazenovia,

Kevin Brandt and Donna Brandt of Baton Rouge, Louisiana,  Cindy (Mark) Berberich of Reedsburg, Kim (Tammy) Brandt of Loganville, Kraig (Juli) Brandt of Hillpoint.

Virginia has 14 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dolores Goetsch of Reedsburg; brother-in-law, LaVerne (Barb) Brandt of Roswell, New Mexico; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her two sisters, Marion Unbehaun and Ila Canaan.

Funeral services for Virginia C. Brandt will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hillpoint. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg and on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.

The family would prefer memorials be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church memorial fund in Virginia’s memory.

The family would like to recognize the Sauk County Health Care Center for their care, love and respect that they provided for Virginia and her family.
