Alfred “Lee” Ray, age 65, of Reedsburg, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Tomah VA Medical Center.  He was born on April 29, 1960, in Asheville, NC, the son of Flayvous and Frances (Redden) Ray.

Lee was a 1979 graduate of Belaire High School in Baton Rouge, LA.  He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Lee was later employed for time at the Baraboo, WI Walmart and was a security guard for Ho Chunk Casino for 20 years. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Reedsburg where he served in AWANA. Lee enjoyed reading, playing games on his phone and Diamond Art.

He was preceded in death by his father, Flayvous Ray; sister, Cathy Bodie and granddaughter, Callie Ray.

Lee is survived by his wife, Melissa of Reedsburg; mother, Frances of Dublin, OH; children, Michelle (Travis) Gunn of Baker, LA and Robert (Beven) Ray of St. Amant, LA; grandchildren: Cooper, Carter, Caylee, Carleigh, Caisley and Cadley; brother, Stephen Ray of Dublin, OH; brother-in-law, Jimmie Bodie of Meredian, MS; sister-in-law, Brandi Tyler of Wisconsin Rapids.

A memorial service for Lee Ray will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Fred Weiss officiating. Military honors will follow the service. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.
