Alice “Kay” McDonough, age 80, of rural Cazenovia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Casa de Oakes in Reedsburg. She was born on June 10, 1939 in Hand County, SD, the daughter of Howard and Mae (McGinnis) Robertson. On August 19, 1961 she was united in marriage to Willard McDonough. This marriage was blessed with four children. Willie and Kay farmed for 45 years. Kay was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lime Ridge, and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was active in the 4-H Club for many years. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Mae Robertson; a brother Don Robertson; and sisters Betty, Ginger and Janet.
Kay is survived by her husband of 58 years, Willard; children: Shawn (Rick) Trinko of Deforest, Dan (Coralyn) McDonough of Houma, LA, Clayt (Tricia) McDonough of Deforest, and Howard (Tracey) McDonough of Lime Ridge; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Jerry (Sharyl) Robertson, and Denny (Sandy) Robertson; sisters Barbara Robertson, and Nancy (Ron) Gedenberg, all of Oregon; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Francis “Mac” (Judy) McDonough of Lime Ridge.
A Celebration of Life Service for Alice “Kay” McDonough will be held at a later date. Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church or the Cazenovia EMT’s.
