Allen P. Frank, age 78, of LaValle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on January 19, 1947, in Reedsburg, WI, the son of Paul and Bernadine (Gwin) Frank, Jr.

He was a 1965 graduate of Reedsburg High School.  He served his country in the US Army from November 21, 1968 to July 23, 1970 during the Vietnam War. He later graduated from UW Platteville.  Allen was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Sauk County Department of Human Services.

Allen cherished nature and the outdoors, finding joy in long hikes and quiet moments of meditation. He volunteered with the International Crane Foundation, where he contributed to the tracking and protection of crane populations. Allen had a profound connection to the Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, Wisconsin. His dedication stretched back to the very beginning when they first broke ground. He continued to show his support and love for the park throughout his life, frequently visiting the site to honor the veterans it commemorates.

An avid reader and an even more devoted music lover, Allen found inspiration in both words and melody. Allen loved all his many dogs over the years and enjoyed taking care of his goats while on his farm. Above all, his greatest happiness came from watching his grandchildren grow up and play sports; their energy and accomplishments were the light of his life. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Marvin Nodolf.

Allen is survived by his wife, Nora; children: Eric (McKinzie) Frank, Brian (Tina) Frank, Daniel (Nicole) Frank, Davin (Erika) Frank, Rachel (Tom) Ruszkowski and Rebecca (Alex) Kreul; grandchildren: Zoe, Lily, Austin, Mila, Alyssa, Porter, Emory, Beckham, Maksim and Eisley; brothers and sisters: Donovan (Helen) Frank, Larry (Barb) Frank, Dawn (Jim) Weigel and Jan Frank; special friends, Bill Bishop and Carol Brueggeman; several nieces, nephews, cousins along with other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Allen’s life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Highground Veterans Memorial Park in lieu of flowers.
