Arlene Mundth Obituary

Arlene Elizabeth Mundth, age 84, of Lyndon Station, WI, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born January 30, 1936 in Reedsburg, WI to the late William and Sarah (Westerman) Sass. She was united in marriage to Raymond A. Mundth on December 28, 1955 at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, WI. He preceded her in death June 27, 2018.

Arlene was a life-long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. Her career in banking spanned fifty-four years in various positions including bookkeeping and computer work. She loved her family, with her grandchildren and great grandchildren being her great source of pride. She enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her beautiful flowers. She loved country music, especially Bill Anderson, and pretty much everything to do with Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry.

Survivors include her children Dale (Mary) Mundth of Lyndon Station, Debra (Michael) Jacobs of Lyndon Station and Sharon (Russ) Reimer of Reedsburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amy (Shane) Schmidt, Adam (Tamara) Mundth, Tina (Chris) Knipfel, Amanda (Eric) Wilkes, Jason Mundth, Eric (Liz) Reimer and Jessica Jacobs; her great-grandchildren Gianna, Emma, Dom, Harper, Jacob, Corbin, Annabelle, Cabella, Cambrie and Eric Joshua (EJ). She is also survived by her brother Wilbert Sass of Elkhorn, WI; her sister Mildred (Gary) Peterson of Burlington, WI; her lifelong friends Phyllis and Bill Schwartz, and Phyllis and Dan Thieding; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family would prefer memorials be given in Arlene’s name to St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Reedsburg, WI.
