Arthur Behnke

Arthur Behnke Jr., age 92 of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was born on October 3, 1929, in Ableman, Wisconsin, the son of Arthur and Edna (Zautke) Behnke. On February 17, 1950 he was united in marriage to Rosemary Herring. This marriage was blessed with five children. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg.  Art was a farmer and a cattle dealer for many years. He enjoyed playing cards and golfing with his friends; and was a driver for the Commission on Aging.

He was preceded in death by his twin sister Arthea (Junior) Kowalke, daughter Dianna Lewis, and grandson Jonathan Lind.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary; children Duane (Dorothy) Behnke, Richard (Jeanne) Behnke, Judy Smith and Jody (Michael) Johnson; grandchildren Tracy Behnke, Erin Crusan (friend, Heath), Rich (Jennifer) Behnke, Jessica (Jason) Stini, and Ethan Johnson; great-grandchildren: Kailey, Alex and Crew; nieces: Beth Ann (Tim) Buscarino, and Julie Ann Kowalke.

Visitation for Art will be on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday April 2, 2022, with Pastor Beth Voigt officiating.
