Arthur J. Biesek Obituary

 

Arthur J. Biesek, age 84, of Reedsburg, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2024, at his home.  He was born on February 8, 1940, in Reedsburg, WI, the son of Francis and Irene (Fisher) Biesek. Art proudly served his country in the US Army, enlisting in 1959. He later joined the Army National Guard. His combined service to country was 61 years.

Following his active service, Art finished his Master Plumber training and worked for Blakeslee and Riberich, Inc in Reedsburg for a few years before starting his own business, Biesek Plumbing. In 1991, he sold his business and moved to Oak Creek, WI where he worked as a commercial building inspector. He later moved back to Reedsburg; he continued plumbing and working as a building inspector for the city for many years before his retirement.

On August 19, 2006, Art was united in marriage to Joanne B. Jeffcott.  Art and Joanne are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg, where Art was active in the Disciples Prayer Group. He was an active member of the Reedsburg American Legion Post #350. Art enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.  He spent much of his free time working on projects in his shed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Richard Jackson II, step-daughter, Annette Clark, blessed step—great-great grandchildren, brothers: James, Bernard, Eugene and Marvin.

Art is survived by is wife, Joanne, daughter, Kimberly (Richard) Jackson,

step-children, James Stai, Sonja Johansen,

grandchildren: Heather (Mike) Campbell, Amber and Samuel Jackson, great grandchildren: Farrah and Dakota, Campbell, Addison, Charlotte and Xavier Jackson,

step-grandchildren: Jordan Borchers and Jacob Johansen,

step grandchildren: Ken (Kelly) Christen, Kelly (Chris) McCann,

step-great-great grandchildren, Kendra, Kristine, Klara, Katelyn and Chris,

siblings, twin brother, Bill (Fran) Biesek, Rita (Bill) Mead, JoAnn Johnson (Joe Sletten), Marty Biesek, special cousin, Roberta (Jerry) Perry, several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Art Biesek will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg.  Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Blewett officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will be conducted in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Visitation will also be held on Wednesday morning from 10:45 AM until 11:45 AM at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel To Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
