Audrey Jean Treptow (née Fry), age 86, of LaValle, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Casa de Oakes in Reedsburg. She was born on June 16, 1939, to the late Clayton and Alice Fry in LaValle, WI. Audrey was united in marriage to Edmund P. Treptow on September 23, 1961. He preceded her in death April 4, 2013. Audrey and Ed ran a family farm, bringing up their three sons: Allen, Frank, and Jerry.

Audrey will be remembered for her love of simple joys and her deep care for family. Over the years, she enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, baking, tending gardens, working on the farm, and processing hickory nuts. Living in the country brought her peace, and she found joy in attracting hummingbirds and orioles, even enlisting Ed to craft special feeders for grape jelly in pie tins. In recent years, she could recite the daily Game Show Network schedule upon request. Above all, she will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, caring for grandsons across three decades, and always putting their well-being first.

Audrey is survived by her sons, Allen (Netty) Treptow of LaValle, Franklin (Terri) Treptow of LaValle, and Jerry (Sandy) Treptow of LaValle; four grandchildren, Tony (Cassie) Treptow of LaValle, Tyler (Matt) Treptow-Bowman of Winona, MN, Alex Treptow of LaValle, and Duane (Brittany) Miller of Mauston; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey and Adley Treptow of LaValle; Maddie Miller of Mauston.

In addition to her husband Ed, Audrey is preceded in death by her granddaughter Frankie Treptow and her five siblings; Clifton Fry, Kenneth Fry, Clinton Fry, Lulu Bell Fry Treptow Carroll, and Robert Fry.

We celebrate Audrey’s life on Monday, December 15, 2025 with her Funeral Service starting at 11:30 a.m. at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, WI. Vicar Shane Anderson will officiate. Visitation will also be on Monday, at the funeral home from 9:30-11:15 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, La Valle Township. Friends and loved ones are then invited to a luncheon at the Fusch Community Center in Reedsburg, WI.
