Barbara A. Loftus, age 75, of Reedsburg, formerly of Sun Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 12, 1948, in Neenah, WI, the daughter of Frank J. and Kathleen M. (Wasinger) Poplinsky Jr., both of whom preceded her in death. Barbara was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Promega Biotech in Fitchburg for 15 years.

On June 27, 1981, Barbara was united in marriage to Mark S. Loftus.  Together they shared many years together enjoying the outdoors and its birds, deer and other wildlife. Barbara was an avid football fan; cheering on the Packers and Badgers, but her greatest love was watching and supporting her granddaughter, Dylan play volleyball.  Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Mark; daughter, Jill (Dave) Braunschweig; son, Matthew (Erin) Loftus; grandson, Connor Wacker; granddaughter, Dylan Loftus; siblings, John Popp, Ted (Renee) Popp, Carl (Kristin) Popp, and Anne Leary  (Nelson Leonard); nieces; nephews; four legged friend, Echo; along with many friends.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Way Station, N4902 County Road HH, Mauston, WI 53948. Memorials of remembrance may be made to Breast Cancer Research.
