Brad R. Johnson, 67, formerly of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, died quietly at Columbia Health Care in Wyocena on June 7, 2022. Brad is the son of Esbert and Lucille Johnson and was born on July 26, 1954, in Oak Park, Illinois. He was a long-time resident of Reedsburg where he got to know many people while working at the various fast-food places, and shopping at the local grocery stores in town. Brad was always polite and enjoyed visiting with employees and shoppers. Brad received many cab rides and was well-known around town. His favorite sport was bowling, and he participated on the Special Olympics bowling teams. He spent many hours coloring with markers and listening to his favorite musical group, The Beach Boys.
Brad also enjoyed camping, especially at the Easter Seals’ camp in the Wisconsin Dells. Every summer he loved the karaoke at camp and sang his heart out to one of the Beach Boys’ tunes. Brad was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents, Esbert and Lucille Johnson. He is survived by his siblings, David (Joyce) Johnson, Linda (Jim) France, and Susan (Chuck) Templin, and many, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Family graveside services for Brad will be at Randhill Park Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and a celebration of Brad’s life will be held at a later date.
