Carl Andrew Zoellner, Esq., 40, of Saratoga, Springs UT, went to be with his Savior in heaven on October 22, 2025, after a 3-year battle with brain cancer, with his parents by his side.
Born February 25, 1985, he is survived by his estranged wife JoAnna; his beautiful son, Carl Andrew Zoellner, Jr.; his parents, Carol and Brian Zoellner; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
Carl graduated from high school in Georgetown, TX in 2003. He began his undergraduate education at the University of Green Bay, WI in 2003, then transferred to University of Colorado, Boulder, where he was a walk-on, offensive lineman for the CU Buffs. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder (2004-2007). Carl managed night clubs from 2008 to 2013 and in 2010, he played and coached professional football in Stockholm, Sweden. He went on to attend law school in 2013 and received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Texas A&M University School of Law in December 2016. He was licensed to practice law in Texas and Wisconsin. Carl served as a Senior Tax and Asset Protection Attorney with Anderson Consultants beginning in 2017. He also produced a YouTube series called Coffee with Carl, providing free online information about tax and asset protection. Carl began traveling at an early age to visit both grandparents and relatives in New York and Wisconsin every summer.
He was predeceased by both sets of his beloved grandparents Carl (Michael) and Mary Traynor from Brushton, NY, and Delbert and Shiela Zoellner from New Holstein, WI and his cousin Kayla Konemann from Lyndon Station, WI.
He loved being a father and spending time with his young son. Carl was a man of strong faith and a confirmed member of Good News Lutheran Church in Lehi, UT (WELS). He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He enjoyed college football, coin collecting, country music, BBQ, good bourbon, and an occasional cigar.
A family run Memorial Services for Carl will be held Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. Pastor Steven Neyhart will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ABTA (American Brain Tumor Association) or City of Hope Cancer Center in Zion, Illinois.
