Carol A. (Bruhn) Curfman 68. Of Cazenovia, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Aurora Manitowoc Hospital in Two Rivers.
Carol found peace and comfort with our Lord in heaven after a long and courageous battle with various health issues. In 2009 Carol retired from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department. She continued her work in law enforcement working for the State of Wisconsin Dept. of Justice as a Compliance Officer for Law Enforcement Training and Standards.
She loved staying active in sports and her passions included the Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers as well as the Green Bay Packers.
Carol especially loved taking care of her many Golden Retrievers. For many years she was active with Golden Retriever Rescues. She loved them so much that she and Gary decided to name their place "Golden Acres."
She was the loving wife of Gary F. Curfman, and step-mom to Michelle Williams, and grandmother to Jonathan Williams, Rachel Williams, and Faith Williams. Dear sister to Alan (Gloria) Bruhn, Gary (Betty) Bruhn, Richard (Mardell) Bruhn, Mary (Bruhn) Kempf, and Laurie (Doug) Grade. Carol is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Virginia Bruhn, sister Patricia (Bruhn) McKinnon, and Eileen (Bruhn) Seidner.
Memorial Services for Carol will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 am, at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Chaplain Michael Amberg will officiate. Visitation will also be on Thursday, at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow services at St. Bridget Cemetery.
