Carol J. Rohde, age 81, of Reedsburg, WI went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Carol and her twin sister were born May 28, 1944 at St. Mary’s Ringling Hospital in Baraboo, the daughter of Lyle and Marcella (Trachsler) Rohde.

Carol loved to sing. In her late teens and early 20’s Carol and her siblings performed as the Three Twins. She played accordion and her siblings played steel guitar and drums. They performed at supper clubs, night clubs, weddings, and other events in the area. Carol earned her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science Degrees from UW-Platteville and taught in the Waukesha and Seneca Area School Districts for 31 years.

Carol loved singing, traveling, horses, and Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed spending time and taking care of her horses over the years.

Survivors include her brother in law Eugene Setwyn, four nephews: Shannon Rohde of Baraboo; Denis (Julia) Setwyn and their three children Linea, Sonja, and Sidne of Eau Claire, WI; D. Lyle (Ania) Setwyn and their son Eugene Jace Anthony II of Edmond, OK; Richard (Stephanie) Rohde and their daughter Malia of Aloha, OR and one niece: Judene (Brandon) Chesnut and their three children Nyeema, Torin, and Aiden of Meridian, ID; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Marcella, her twin sister Dr. Sharol A. Setwyn, her brother Dean Frank Rohde and his wife Judy Rohde, and her nephew Pat Rohde. Carol was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11am at Faith Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, with Pastor Steven Neyhart officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4-7pm on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church.
