Cassandra L. Mazur, age 38, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born on April 29, 1986 in Portage, the daughter of Mark Mikle and Tamara Anderson. On September 8, 2018 she was united in marriage to Josh Mazur.

Casey loved to read, fish (beat Josh with the biggest catch), sit around the fire with a cold Strawberry Cider Boys, and spend time with her family and friends. There was always a house full as she was like a mother to everyone! Her favorite movies were Elf and Twister, which were on repeat over the past 4 months. She especially loved watching her kids in their activities!  Casey LOVED being a mother and grandmother! 

Casey was diagnosed at the end of August with a very rare form of cancer called small cell carcinoma of the ovaries, type hypercalcemia. Even though her battle was short, she fought long and hard! She touched many lives and drew attention to the cancer type to raise awareness. It was inspiring to watch this community also join in on her fight. 

She was preceded in death by Her Bonus-Dad Donny Anderson, Grandpa George Thompson, Grandma Jean Ennis Grandma Mary Jo Mikle, and her Great Aunt Betty and Uncle Arnold Paske. 

Casey is survived by her husband, Josh; children, Leah (23) (Arin), Chase (17), Chance (14) and Tucker (9) Mazur; grandchildren, Grayson (4)  and Paxton (1) Brunner; parents Mark (Adaenna) Mikle and Tamara Anderson; siblings, Chelsey Medsker, Jake Kratz, Courtney and Dani Anderson; grandparents, Frank and Carol Mikle, Glenn and Dianne Smith, Tess Thompson; and other relatives and friends. 

A memorial service for Cassandra will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to her memorial fund to assist the family with expenses.1
