Chase A. Farber, age 47, of Reedsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg.


He was born on July 22, 1978, in Reedsburg. WI, the son of David and Patricia (Rockweiler) Farber. Chase was a 1997 graduate of Reedsburg Area High School and later attended Western Technical College in Mauston.


Chase worked as a skilled machinist and took great pride in his craft.  He especially enjoyed working on the HAAS and was known for his mechanical talent and precision. He was highly regarded for his skill and creativity,


Chase had a passion for adventure and the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking and camping with his girlfriend, Laura and family and friends. He was a thrill seeker at heart and found joy in exploring new places and experiences. He also enjoyed motorcycles.


A history enthusiast, Chase had a particular interest in WWII, especially tanks and planes.  He also collected firearms and appreciated the craftsmanship and history behind them.


Chase was well known for his cooking abilities and loved to grill.  He built  a custom tripod for the campfire which allowed him to grill awesome meals. He was a family man and enjoyed bringing the family together through food.


He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Leona Rockweiler; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Delores Farber and uncle, Conrad Rockweiler.


Chase is survived by his life partner, Laura Lovelace of Reedsburg; sons, Cole A. Farber – USAF and Aizik Mathis of Reedsburg; grandson, Colt A. Farber of UT; parents, David and Patti Farber of Reedsburg; brother, Heath Farber of Reedsburg; along with aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.


A Mass of Christian burial for Chase A. Farber will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg. Father Luke Powers will officiate. Burial will follow in Cazenovia Hillside Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg.  The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm followed by special music.  Visitation will also take place Monday morning from 9:45 am until 10:45 am at the church.
