Clarence “Terry” Backeberg, age 83, of rural LaValle, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025.  He was born on January 5, 1942 at home in the Township of LaValle, WI, the son of Everett and Dora (Sefkar) Backeberg. On December 15, 1962, Clarence was united in marriage to Lois Jones at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural LaValle.  This marriage was blessed with two children. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois on January 27, 2015; his parents; and two brothers, Raymond and Ronald.

Clarence is survived by his daughter, Brenda “Sue” (Leo) Jerrett of Reedsburg; son, Mike Backeberg of LaValle; grandchildren, Alicia Jerrett and Vince Backeberg; great grandson, Romaeo; brother, Charles (Audrey) Backeberg of Reedsburg; many nieces, nephews; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Clarence “Terry” Backeberg will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural LaValle, with Vicar Shane Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 PM at the church.
