Coletta R. (Cruice) Zanon

Coletta R. (Cruice) Zanon, age 97, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. The daughter of Ferdinand J. and Mary E. (Mlsna) Karl, Coletta was born in Monroe County, Wisconsin.  In 1945, she was united in marriage to Joseph Cruice and they were blessed with seven children.  Coletta was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge, Altar Society, and Renew member. She was also a member of the Cazenovia American Legion Auxiliary and Moose Lodge-Mauston. Coletta was an avid card player, loved Yahtzee, euchre, and a fierce game of Candyland.  She was a fan of Badgers football and basketball, Packers, and Brewers.  Lovingly referred to as Gabby-Jacks One, chatting with relatives and friends remained her favorite pastime, sprinkled with her keen wit and smart one-liners.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cruice; son, Patrick;  grandson, Anthony Block; and second husband, Richard Zanon; and several family and friends.

Coletta is survived by her children:  Jolene Newkirk of Lone Rock; Michael Cruice of Baraboo; Kathy Cruice (Dave Marks) of Madison; Mary Hainstock (Craig Perschke) of Watertown; Teresa Cruice (Mike Baley) of Cazenovia; and Vicki (Don) Ladika of Cazenovia; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and step-children:  Richard J. (Neng) Zanon; Robert (Carol) Zanon; John (Kathy) Zanon; Kali Reid; and James (Chris) Zanon and their families; along with other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Coletta will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge, WI, with Father Sanctus Ibe officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery also in Lime Ridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M., until the time of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church of Lime Ridge, UW Children’s Hospital, Madison, WI, or St. Jude Children's Hospital at:  Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, WI, is assisting the family.
