Obituary

Craig A. Legner, age 73, of Reedsburg, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 1, 1949, in Kansas City, MO. Craig felt thankful and blessed for the wonderful parents he was raised by, Josef and Lucille (Schara) Legner. They preceded him in death. Craig was united in marriage to Karen A. Garske on February 10, 1990. Together they owned and operated the Outback Saloon and Up Front Café in Loganville. Craig knew his way around the kitchen and often enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies with his grandchildren. Craig was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. One of his favorite pastimes was cutting wood.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Chad (Louisa) Legner of Waunakee, daughter, Stephanie (Gabe) DeJesus of FL, and son, Stephen Manley of Reedsburg; grandchildren, Dre DeJesus, Dylan Manley, and Rico DeJesus; cousins, Floyd Mason of North Freedom, John (Margaret) Bzdell and Joe (Debbie) Bzdell all of AL; along with
other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Craig’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, this is also Craig’s 74th birthday, at Drifters Saloon in Loganville, WI from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.  We will be honoring him by singing Happy Birthday at 1:00 pm.
