Dale "Butch" Judd, age 75, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 24, 2026. He was born on August 15, 1950, and spent most of his life on the family farm, where he developed a deep appreciation for the land and the simple joys of country living.

Butch proudly served his country in the United States Army, completing two tours during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he began working for his brother Hank's painting business. In the early 1980s, Butch started his own painting business, which he operated with pride and dedication until retiring in 2014. Following retirement, he continued to enjoy life on the family farm, embracing organic farming, and spending countless hours doing what he loved most.

A gifted craftsman, Butch had a passion for old cars, restoring vehicles and historic buildings, and was always happiest when he was tinkering in the shop or working on a new project. He especially loved driving his beloved GTO whenever he had the chance. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and making memories.

He is lovingly survived by his children, Neil McIntyre; Derek Judd (Jennifer Rhodes); and Stefanie Judd (Kevin Lanham); the mother of his children, Jean Judd; his grandchildren, Emma McIntyre, Hailey Stone, Carter Stone, and Levi Judd; his great-grandson, Lucas Muniz; his siblings, Benny, Sally (Wayne), Hank (Sue), Linda, Jenny, and sister-in-law Trudy; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Emma Judd; and his siblings, Edna Mae, Dick, Pop, Harley, Steve, and Melvin.

Butch will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his pride in serving his country, his dedication to his craft, his love of the land, his talent for bringing old things back to life, and the joy he found behind the wheel of his cherished GTO. His legacy will live on through his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral services for Butch will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Loganville. Reverend Kris Totzke, Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and again on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Loganville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses. The family greatly appreciates your kindness, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
