Darlene E. Berry

Darlene Emma Berry, 62, of Reedsburg, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Darlene was born on March 18, 1963 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Henry and Naomi (Shane) Johnston.

She graduated from Webb High School in 1981. Darlene married Jim Berry on August 14, 1982. They built their family young, and it was the most important thing to Darlene. From oohing and aahing at fireworks and cha, cha, cha’ing through birthdays to cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning, she created family traditions that will continue on. She could have also written this obituary much better and faster than we did.

Darlene worked at Lands’ End for many years and found her calling as a personal banker at the Bank of Wisconsin Dells. She loved her job and built meaningful relationships with both her colleagues and her customers. Darlene loved reading, working in her garden, and her pets. She was an avid traveler having gone to almost a dozen foreign countries and throughout the United States. Her favorite part of her travels was exploring with her family.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Jim Berry; children, Rebecca Berry (Lina Soblyte), Katie (Chris) Chu, Joshua Berry, Rachel (Robert) Marcella; grandchildren, Caroline, Alyana, Henry, Charlotte, Charles, Josephine; brother, David (Connie) Johnston; sisters, Dottie (Jim) Hayes, Donna (Jeff) Austin; many sisters and brothers in law; nieces, and nephews, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Naomi Johnston, and brother Dennis Johnston.

Funeral services for Darlene will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 5:00 pm, at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will also be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 4:45 pm.
