Daunnene E. Hooker, age 86, of Rock Springs, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026.  She was born on December 26, 1939, in rural Baraboo, the daughter of Charles and Virginia (Dempsey) Ramsey.

On August 23, 1958, Daunnene was united in marriage to William Hooker.  This marriage was blessed with two sons.  Daunnene and Bill farmed together in rural Rock
Springs.  It was on the farm that she enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables, taking care of the animals and looking after her cats. Daunnene was a fighter.  She had several hardships in her life that she overcame including beating cancer once and working through the pain of losing her husband and sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sons, Jerry and Harold; siblings: Eva Jo (Adolph) Hooker, JoAnn Kinzler, Raliegh Ramsey, Ted Ramsey, Carol (Joe) Birch, Johanna (Jack) Fry, Judy Hudzinski, Paul Ramsey and infant, Herbie.

Daunnene is survived by her daughter-in-law, Karen Hooker; grandchildren: Kandie (John) Pagel and their children, Kristine Hooker, Travis, Jay and Breanna Pagel, Jason Hooker and children: Savannah and Timothy Hooker, Jamie (Tori) Hooker and their children: Braxton and Bennett, Vicki (Jake) Hooker and their children: Madalynn, Sophia and Xavier; siblings: David (Gloria) Ramsey, Kay (Jack) Birch, Pearl (Donnie) Schellenberger, Pauline Roberts, Enaine Gardner, Lucy Reichhoff, Penny Carter, Carlyle (Jodi) Ramsey, Cyril (Joni) Ramsey; brother and sisters-in-law, Roger Hudzinski, Olive Ramsey and Polly Ramsey; several nieces, nephews along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Daunnene Hooker will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Farber Funeral Home with Chaplain Mike Amberg officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Loganville.  Visitation will be held on
