Dawn M. Ryczek

Dawn Marie (nee Metcalf) Ryczek age 61, of Reedsburg, passed away from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday August 21, 2021.

She was born on December 10, 1959 in Baraboo, the daughter of Dorothy (nee Nobs) and the late Richard Metcalf. She was raised in Reedsburg WI. She graduated from Reedsburg High School.

Dawn married her high school sweetheart Dennis Ryczek on October 27, 1979, and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Matthew and Thomas.

Dawn owned and operated Country Charm flower shop along with her mother, Dorothy, for the past 29 years. She had a beautiful talent and with it was able to touch so many lives through her creations. From weddings, funerals, birthdays, get wells, and other occasions she was able to produce creations to be shared, adored, remembered and loved. Dawn always met you with a smile and whether you wanted it or not she was going to give it to you straight and her honest opinion. Dawn was always up for an adventure and was always good for a laugh. She was just a phone call away for whatever you may have needed and her home was always open. There were many Sunday mornings where Dawn made breakfast for anyone who sat at her table. Dawn was a lover of life, her family, her newest love her grandson Dawson, and she treasured many friendships.

Dawn is survived by her husband Dennis; sons Matthew and Thomas; and grandson Dawson; parents Dorothy and Bill Gant; sisters, Julie (Marv) Svoboda, Bonnie (Jamie) Naquin, and Laura Kelsey; brothers Jim (Tammy) Metcalf and Willard (Dana) Gant III; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard James Metcalf, brother Ricky James Metcalf, nephews Justin and Michael Tucker, and niece Nicole Tucker/Spencer.

A celebration of life for Dawn will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 426 South Albert Avenue in Reedsburg.
